Our Unique 2 layer barrier filter is washable and reusable. Its high-efficiency barrier filters particulates at .3 micron. With a 99% washable mask adult filter percentage it is made up of the highest performance PTFE membrane filtration on the market, safe for face masks. Our HEPA reusable Filter is FDA compliant and has been independently lab tested and verified.
The PFE (Particulate Filtration Efficiency) of our PTFE HEPA Barrier is 99% at 0.3 microns. This type of air reusable filter can remove dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm). It is not intended for medical use.
PTFE is mechanically 100% Hydrophobic which allows it to be washable up to 40 times unlike standard HEPA filters that must be re-sterilized to be reused.
It is very lightweight and cool making it breathable, unlike standard reusable adult filters that are heavier and build up heat from exhalation.
The Hepa reusable filter can be washed after 7-10 uses.

WASH AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Washing of the media can only be done when it’s inside the mask's cloth inner/outer layer to keep it from abrasion against heavier garments. The best way is to hand wash in lukewarm soapy water and let air dry and make it reusable filter. Do not wring or twist the washable mask or reusable filter material. Alternatively, you can use an Insta-Pot and put in ¼” water and place mask on the wire rack. Put on Pressure Cook for a 10-minute cycle. Let pressure down and your mask is ready for a new cycle.
Note this reusable adult filter is not intended for clinical use nor does it guarantee to prevent covid19.
The CDC has adopted a safety-first policy and is recommending everyone wear non-medical protective face coverings to help flatten the curve. Despite this remember this SHOULD be used in addition to practicing CDC recommendations on handwashing and social distancing.
For sanitary reasons, HEPA filters cannot be returned.
