Care
Your pieces are made to be lived in and loved. With a little daily care, they will keep their quiet glow for years to come.
Jewelry is meant to accompany you, but a few habits keep it beautiful. Put your pieces on last — after lotions, perfumes, and hair products have settled — and take them off first when you come home.
Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercising. Chlorine, salt water, and sweat can dull plating and tarnish silver. Heat and humidity can also weaken adhesives and stretch delicate chains.
Gold plating is a thin layer of gold over brass or silver. To preserve it, avoid contact with water and chemicals, and store pieces separately so harder metals do not scratch the surface. Plating will naturally soften over time; with care, it lasts far longer.
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes with air. To slow tarnish, store silver in an airtight pouch and away from direct light. A soft polishing cloth restores its shine; for deeper tarnish, use a gentle silver polish and rinse thoroughly.
Raw and natural stones are delicate. Avoid knocks and pressure that could chip them, and never submerge raw stones in water or cleaner. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store each piece apart to protect its edges.
Keep leather away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. If it becomes wet, allow it to air dry away from sunlight. Condition occasionally with a neutral leather balm to keep it supple, and store in the dust bag provided to prevent scuffing.
For most pieces, a soft, lint-free cloth is enough. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam, and harsh chemicals, which can damage plating, stones, and settings. When in doubt, treat your piece gently.
Store each piece separately in a pouch or compartment to prevent tangling and scratching. Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and fasten chains before storing so they don't catch.
