Our Story
Where it all began.
OGONYC was born in New York City.
What began as a vision to create timeless, beautifully crafted pieces has since grown into something far greater than fashion.
As I walked through seasons that stretched my faith, refined my heart, and reshaped my understanding of identity, the brand began transforming alongside me.
God revealed that the greatest need women carry isn't simply finding something beautiful to wear.
It's remembering who they already are.
The name remained.
The city remained part of the story.
But the mission changed.
Today, OGONYC exists to create thoughtfully designed collections that point women back to the unchanging truth of God's Word.
What began as a fashion brand became a ministry of reformation.
Meet the Founder
Ogo Ekweozor-Holley
I've always loved creating.
Whether building businesses, leading teams, developing leaders, solving problems, or bringing ideas to life, I've long believed that creativity is one of God's greatest gifts.
My own story has been shaped across cultures and continents. Of Nigerian heritage, raised in the United Kingdom, and now settled in the United States, I've had the privilege of experiencing life through different cultures, communities, and perspectives. Each has shaped the woman, leader, and communicator I am today.
For many years, I measured growth by achievement.
I knew how to build. How to lead. How to keep moving forward.
But through one of the most refining seasons of my life, God gently shifted my perspective.
I realized He wasn't asking me to become someone else.
He was inviting me to discover who I had already been created to be.
That revelation changed everything.
Not only my life, but the way I lead, the way I create, the way I speak—and ultimately, the purpose behind this brand.
OGONYC was founded from that place.
Inspired by 2 Corinthians 3:18 and the invitation to be transformed as we behold Him, Become. is more than our tagline. It is the heartbeat behind everything we create.
